“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap” Galatians 6:7

When I was a child, I thought becoming a success story is free and something that easily falls on our heads. I thought success is like microwaving porridge or cow milk. In fact, I never thought there were prices to pay for success or greatness. Amazingly, I have discovered in my old age how so many people still have this concept about success. They think and assumed that success is something you wish by faith. They perceived success as manna that drops from heaven and lands on their laps. This has caused a lot of disappointment to many people who think success is just by wishing without working.

It is great to be a person of faith but, faith without works is dead faith.  This means you must work to see what you want to have as you believe you can.  Surprisingly, many people have been disappointed to realize that, to be successful in life, they have to be prepared and ready to pay the price required for it. Paying the price for success can be in the form of self-discipline and dedication to study or learn. It is one’s willingness to pay the price of success that makes them successful in their area of field.

I have come to observe that, the only thing free in life is salvation; everything else demands our willingness and commitment to pay a price to attain it. To be successful in life you may pay the price for it. Greatness and success have prices to pay. The question is; are you ready to pay the required price? Nobody becomes great without paying the price of hard work, sacrifice, reading and observing. When you refuse to pay the price for success, you only make yourself a candidate of failure and a loser. I would suggest you never cheat yourself into success. Cheating yourself into success will make a fool out of you. You must always be prepared to pay the right price for success. Nothing valuable in life is gained freely.

As a lifestyle coach, I have seen and met people who just want to be successful but are not ready to pay the price to become it. This is to say that, many people want to be great and successful but only few of these people understand the need to pay the price. What you are not ready and prepared to invest will never make any increase.

“Life will never give you anything free except what you are ready and willing to pay for” Ferdinard Senyo Lawson.

Success is not a free ride. I can boldly and confidently say that, if you are willing to pay the price required for what you want to achieve in life, then you will certainly go home with the goods. Paying the price for success will require you to be a person of focus. Success is a journey we embark on and until we learn to remain focused on that journey, we will never be able to reach that desired destination for ourselves. Our ability to do the right thing possibly to attain a level of success is what is classified as paying the price. This could be in the form of working on your broken relationship or your personal goal to see it come true. It is never possible to become great or successful in life without paying the price of commitment, integrity, passion, consistency, and diligence.

“Seest thou a man diligent in his business? He shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men” Proverbs 22:29

Successful individuals are very committed and value the importance of timing. Timing is everything. The value you place on time is what determines the value people place on you. People who don’t value their time are the most miserable people. They think other people have more time than them. You cannot disrespect time and expect to be successful. To be successful, you must learn and know how to redeem your time. Time will only give back to you what you have invested into it. If you fail to invest your time to pursue the dream, goal, and vision you have, you can never see them come true, be fruitful or achieved.

If you want to be a renowned author, for example, you must be ready to pay the price of time management. Time management is a great skill to have if you want achievement in your area of purpose. Sometimes, you must just learn to say no to people who steal your valuable time and stop you from making progress in life. “There is a Time for Everything”. You must value and invest quality time to see that dream come through. Don’t just wish for success but invest and commit your time to it. Time is the greatest gift given to man by God and it must be used to maximize our potential.

Success soars on the wings of time. Value your time. Let me remind you that, every worthwhile vision, goals or dream will demand your time, effort, energy and money to become successful. No success is guaranteed without paying of price.

Sometimes, it will require you to pay the price of motivating yourself into success especially when all roads lead to disappointments. Self-motivation is one way of paying the price for what you want to become. Not everybody will believe in your dream, goal or aspiration, but you have to believe in yourself and your own dream. No one owes you anything. You owe yourself something and that is success. Motivate yourself into success regardless of the disappointments and failures of others to support you.

Great people are believers of themselves and their dreams. It’s so easy to admire the glory but to submit to the processes that brought it about takes real commitment to the path. Jesus told His disciples, “Anyone who intends to build a house must first sit down to count the cost…” The glory comes with a cost. It has a “price”. And it must be paid by anyone who wants it. Success is relative and can mean a different thing to everyone. This therefore means that we all have to define what actually we want as success to be able to pay the required price for it. Never expect to be successful in a day.

Desiring to be successful in a day will only create disappointment and failure for you. You must be ready to identify a particular thing you love doing and maximize it fully until you become a master of it. It takes discipline and dedication to achieve success. Not everyone around you will be happy for you. Therefore, you must not depend on everyone to support you in your quest for success. Some of these people may be filled with jealousy and insecurity around you.

Regardless of their feelings, you must be ready to overlook and challenge yourself to achieve that very dream you have for yourself. It is very important to know that, there are no shortcuts for success rather than the price of preparation, hard work and learning from mistakes. If you are afr

aid to make mistakes then I am afraid to inform you that, you can never learn to overcome failures. However, no matter how successful you want to be in life, it is imperative not to trample on others to become successful. Never think people owe you success. Thinking that others owe you success will deny you the opportunity to be helped by them.

Don’t push your way into people. Learn to be humble in your request for help. Everybody has something on their mind to achieve. Therefore, when approaching others for support or help you must be patient and considerate in your approach before things backfire in your face. No one reaps where he or she has not sown. Some people have shut the doors of success in their face by the attitude they carry around. Unless you are humble, respectful and polite, nobody will like to help you succeed in life. It takes a great deal of humility to be successful.

Are you ready and prepared to pay the price to become successful? No one leaps into success; neither does anyone stumble and fall into it. Successful people pay the price for their success. Stop wishing and start paying the price for your success.
